Sunderland v Birmingham City Game - 22/12/2017

This is our SAFC Forum of course. You may chat about Sunderland AFC here together with any other footballing matters. Obviously, the Black Cats are the main focus. However, this is basically our football lounge.

They need to give Birmingham a bit respect because I think they were a bit complacent with their goal. Hopefully, Coleman will sort this out.

It comes to something when we rely on a Bournemouth loanee. I don't think we have played too bad so far but the defence still needs to sharpen up cos Birmingham are still probing them.
I might have the day off today!

We are under the cosh a bit here so we need the break and quick.

The whistle can't come soon enough. Birmingham are exploiting the right side so Coleman needs to start controlling that.

There's the half time whistle. Chris Coleman will have to think hard and fast about the second half. I don't think he will plan for a draw, so lets see what he comes up with. Right now though, Birmingham think they can smash and grab here. Good job we got the goal 5 minutes after theirs because if they got a second one before we scored, I think we may have been shut out completely and the only thing we may have hoped for was a draw.

The first half we competed a little but the second half we are playing so so scrappy. Looks like the half time cup of tea done nothing for the lads so far.

Birmingham have a player sent off with 25 minutes to go. If we can't take advantage of this situation we should give up.

Here we go, the famous Coleman substitutions.
Three off, three on.
Lets see what these lads can do now.
I think this could be another master stroke, not often you see substitutions done this way

Steve Cotterill is obviously playing it out for a draw now.
