I am sure this investment will improve the High Street West area of Sunderland City Centre no end.
Well done to Sunderland City Council.

Someone suggested that High Street West should have had a roof put on it.
I must admit that the thought of that would be great but any improvement in the meantime is welcome.

I never liked the last improvements to High Street West - I really hope this investment makes the place a little better.

Lets be honest, any improvement in Sunderland City Centre should be welcomed as long as its effective.
I don't like the drainage system is in High Street West after the last facelift.
The block paving was canny good but the drainage runs seem to be quite deep in places.
It reminds me of the sewerage system you would expect in the developing world
Come on Sunderland Council make that area good again.

Sunderland City Centre is like a beating heart at the minute it is expanding after contracting for a while.
Lets hope the City Council can get this place rocking again.

I'd like to see the Bridges extended to High Street West. It probably will in our lifetime.

I am all for undercover shopping at my age.
Sunderland City Centre needs more of this.
It started with Jacky Whites market

There are some decent shops in High Street West. I love the place and the Keel Square development is really good. There is a market there right now.
