2017 General Election Update For Sunderland

2017 General Election Update For Sunderland

Too late for a poll but here's what the political leaflets are saying here in Sunderland.

Conservative: 'Strong Leadership With Theresa May':
Robert Oliver is standing where I am and he says 'a vote for the Labour Party means higher taxes and more debt, threatening Sunderland's economy'. He also mentions the coalition of chaos that we would get if the Tories lose their slim majority.

Labour: Strength And Experience For Our Community:
Julie Elliot is standing in my area and says: 'I hope you will agree that I have always put Sunderland first'. 'I voted to trigger article 50 as Sunderland residents told me to'.

Lib Dem: LIEBOUR You Just Can't Trust A Word Sunderland Labour Says:
Niall Hodson is standing in Sunderland Central and says, 'Labour have taken Sunderland for granted for too long. They just don't listen to local people. Another Labour MP here will change nothing.

I like Niall Hodson and that's where my vote goes this year. The reason is he is very active as a councillor and is prepared to listen to people, but above all he acts on it too. I think he is correct when he says Labour are liars and besides, Corbyn and that disgusting Abbott will never get a vote from me or my family. As for the Tories, well they have made too many cuts for my liking.

I might vote for the Tories (tin hat on)
The reason why is because I want the Brexit deal sorted properly and I don't think Theresa May will be turned over.
The other parties either want to stay in the EU or will get us a bad deal.
By that I mean, it will be like still being in the EU.
In other words, Labour will pay more into the EU in order to have some other agreements and that is not the way it should be.
So, Theresa May won the argument for me.
By the way, had Corbyn not been the leader and depending what Labour said, I might have swung their way.
I voted to get out the EU so Conservative gets my vote this time around.

Must be honest, I didn't think Brexit was going to be so complicated.

I got a letter off my Conservative candidate today.
It has a picture of Theresa May on it and I think they should have chose a better picture, she looks like she just got out of bed
