Pallion 20mph Zone

Post by blockheed »

Just had a crawl around Pallion and they seem to have 20mph zone all over the place.
What's up here like, there is no problems that I am aware of in that area so normal speed limits should apply surely.
It means using third gear and that is using more fuel adding to the greenhouse gasses.
Come on, there's enough of this sort of thing round the town.

Not seen the road signs but I remember seeing the 20mph paint markings on the road a while back.

With all those speed bumps, there's no need to.

I drive in all areas of Sunderland and let me assure you them 20mph zones are in all the estates. When you drive around the streets at 2am they become a pain. Totally unnecessary because most are set up around schools. Oh yes, lets slow down for kids in the early hours.
