Which w keeps dumping sofas and carpets in my backlane?
Bet this happens all over as well. It's getting annoying now, let's hope the "people" responsible get caught and are heavily fined soon. It's us lot that actually pay council tax that pay for your crap to be removed.

People do that in places like Hendon and Pallion because they think nobody is looking.Steve30000 wrote: ↑24 Aug 2023, 06:53 Which w keeps dumping sofas and carpets in my backlane?

They also think the council will pick them up (paid for by us).
Litter-dropping in general I hate - can people not put their sweet wrappers in their pocket until they find a bin?
I bet those who drop rubbish and mess up the back lanes have minging houses and their gardens unkempt!

The council probably will pick it up, but the "people" who dumped it there should be forced to pay for it.Crawford wrote: ↑24 Aug 2023, 16:21People do that in places like Hendon and Pallion because they think nobody is looking.Steve30000 wrote: ↑24 Aug 2023, 06:53 Which w keeps dumping sofas and carpets in my backlane?

There's no need for it, it's lazy, and disgusting. They clearly have a van and offer to get rid of someone's rubbish for cheap, then just dump it in a backlane.
Pity we couldn't their off if caught

@Crawford
The education standards have all dropped over the years.
We really need to get back to the older methods but the loonie lefties won't allow it and even if we start now it would take a generation to put right.
There still are some of us around who do care though.
Plonking rubbish anywhere is something I have not done.
