Hopefully our bridges aren't that weak. I can't imagine the wear bridge collapsing so easily if hit by a ship, as that bridge was.
They don't dredge the River Wear now so I doubt ships would reach it.Steve30000 wrote: ↑30 Mar 2024, 10:18Hopefully our bridges aren't that weak. I can't imagine the wear bridge collapsing so easily if hit by a ship, as that bridge was.

Even if they did, would a container ship be able to go under it? Think those ships would be too big, even under the spire, and I'm certain that's a lower height than the queen Alexandra.Crawford wrote: ↑31 Mar 2024, 14:27They don't dredge the River Wear now so I doubt ships would reach it.Steve30000 wrote: ↑30 Mar 2024, 10:18
